Spotlight of the Week- Virginia

Hi my beautiful people! Welcome back to my page and thanks for stopping by! This week I am featuring the lovely Virginia. Virginia is literally a life size BARBIE,  who is super smart & fit & so active! Virginia and I met a couple years ago as she is now married to one of my husband’s best friends!  The first time I met her she was so nice and down to earth and she still is to this very day! She is just such a empowering young woman! One of my favorite memories I have of Virginia was being able to witness her gorgeous wedding, she was such a stunning bride and it was a spectacular event!  Virginia has a very impressive story and I’m so excited to share it with you!

Virginia currently works as a top preforming health & fitness coach! She has done this for the past 4 years and she is loving every minute of it!  She has been able to help so many women reach their health & fitness goals & also find a whole new confidence and self love during their journey’s! Can you say #CreativelyLinked? In my opinion this would be one of Virginia’s best talents! She spreads love & happiness and really helps women to achieve something that matters in life! I love this and the world needs more of this! Virginia is a true inspiration!  IMG_0235If you don’t follow her on social media you need to! She always is posting great workouts, healthy foods and awesome motivation! She is one of my favorite people to follow because she always has great content!! (I will link her IG page at the end of the post). I asked Virginia is what she is doing now what she always wanted to do growing up? She replied with “No! I had no idea I would become an online health and fitness coach and go to pharmacy school. As a kid I wanted to become a doctor to help people because I hated seeing people sick. My grandparents all passed away when I was young and I remember being so sad as a kid wishing I could have done something to help them live longer. I wanted to be able to make a difference &  I feel like I do! Now just more so on the preventative side with exercise and nutrition.” Ladies if you need help on your fitness journey Virginia is your girl!

Virginia has been involved in everything you can think of! She has done synchronized swimming, water polo, golf, basketball, volleyball, track, drama club, student counsel, speed swimming, snowboarding, wake surfing, skiing, cross country, dance, piano, & singing lessons!  Lets just add that she also ran for president as well! lol With a list that long you can already tell this girl is a force to be reckoned with!  So yes, I lied she didn’t run for president 🙂 but in all seriousness she really has done it all!  Virginia shared this would be her special talent, she has been able to do all these things and really enjoy them and excel while doing it!  She stated “I truly loved being a part of all those things. I’ve always loved being a part of a team! I was fortunate enough to go onto to play college volleyball which was such an awesome experience!!”  Virginia received a college volleyball scholarship to play at Hampton University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She also graduated with a Doctorate in pharmacy from Hampton University. Major #BossBabe alert!! She totally is the definition of beauty and brains! Now a days Virginia loves working out, hiking, running, and exploring Arizona. She stated “when I’m at home in Canada at our cabin I love wake surfing, boating, golfing, and being outdoors!”  I asked Virginia if she had any fears before she started any of those activities and she stated “before I start anything new I always get super nervous and anxious! So yes, there were definitely fears!The-Key-to-Change-is-to-Let-Go-of-Fear-e1422087356103
I feared failing, I feared making a fool of myself, I feared being laughed at or made fun of & in reality none of those things happened!!” That is great point that Virginia stated  “NONE OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED”- none of the bad things we all think are going to happen when we try something new ever happen!  It’s all in our head & you always look back later on and think of how proud of yourself you are when you face your fears.
Virginia stated “I truly believe the magic happens when we get outside our comfort zone so being a little nervous is a good thing!!”  Take notes from this girl she is fearless and has so many admirable qualities!

IMG_0236Some of Virginia’s best accomplishments in addition to the others listed above are that she completed in a NPC Bikini competition!  If you don’t know how hard these truly are just do some research! There is so much that goes into this and anyone who does this has to have determination and major discipline! Way to go girl!  Virginia stated another great accomplishment would be that she married the man of her dreams! She stated “I literally thought he didn’t exist until we randomly met while I was on Christmas break in Arizona during pharmacy school.” Love will totally sneak up on you when you least expect it and that definitely happened with these two love birds!  Please just take a moment to to look at how gorgeous this wedding picture is!  Jimmy and Virginia truly are a power couple and I am so glad to call them my friends!  They have their own health & fitness motivational company called -JUSTKEEPPUSHING LLC.  You definitely need to check it out! It is such a great concept that helps and motivates children & adults; and they have awesome gear to purchase on their website!  Last but not least the Mr. & Mrs. are in the process of building their first home! Congrats to you both & I can’t wait to come over and see it when its done! 😉

Virginia’s current goals are to live the best life possible! She stated “I want to finish up my pharmacy board exams and start working part time as a pharmacist while continuing to grow our online business. I want to inspire everyone around me to live a healthy, happy and fulfilling life!!”

Virginia’s favorite quote is:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve always imagined!

Virginia’s mission statement for her life is:

Do what makes you happy & do more of that. At the end of this life make sure you can look back and know that you had an incredible life, that you touched peoples lives, that you were a good human being and made this world a better place!

     Fun facts about Virginia:

  • If Virginia could master any skill she would master roller skating (on the skates with 4 wheels). She stated “my husband always shows me up and I want to get on his level!
  • If Virginia were to write a book it would be about self love & being yourself & rocking it!
  • I asked Virginia if she didn’t have to sleep what would she do with all her extra time? She replied with “TRAVEL!”
  •  If Virginia could go back in time and speak to her younger self she would tell herself to BE YOU! “You are silly, goofy, weird, and love making people laugh! Those are amazing characteristics to have! Just be yourself and encourage everyone around you to do the same! Do what makes you happy and live your best life. You are going to make mistakes and learn along the way. Embrace the struggles and celebrate the wins! You can do hard things, just believe in yourself – always remember eye of the tiger!”

Virginia wants to leave you with these last words “I want people to know that I’m just a regular girl who decided to go for it. There is no special sauce that has allowed me to be so successful by the age of 26! I truly believe EVERYONE is capable of reaching their goals with hard work, dedication, and consistency- IT WILL HAPPEN! I always love this quote: “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyways.” I remember when I got into pharmacy school (a 4 year program) after already completing 3 years of undergrad thinking “wow this is going to take forever, can I do this?” And I totally did it, it was hard & there were lots of long nights, tears, struggles and failures along the way but I never gave up. That’s they key. Never give up! Just keep pushing and you WILL get to where you want to be!!” I agree with Virginia 100% and you all reading this can totally accomplish any dream you have with hard work and dedication, don’t let the negative thoughts stop your potential! It was such an honor to interview Virginia and share her story with you all, I think we all are in agreement when I sayVirginia is Creatively Linked!”
